The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers received an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament by winning the Big South Championship tournament after finishing fourth in the conference regular season. This will be Coastal Carolina's first match against a Big 12 team, and they have made two previous appearances in the NCAA Tournament, in 1994 and 1998. No Big South team has ever won an NCAA Tournament match. Last season, the Huskers faced Big South team Liberty in the first round, winning 3-1.

The Chanticleers' tallest player is 6-1 and all but three players are under 6 feet tall.

A big sweep for UNI over Washington State to start things off. I'm a little surprised at that, not so much that UNI won but by the ease with which they did it, guess they really deserve their top 15 ranking in Pablo. The video link from huskers.com was not working, they better get it fixed or there are going to be a lot of angry fans tonight. :-)

Texas swept TCU tonight to become the first team in the bracket to move on to Omaha.

Texas A&M beat Arizona in the first round.
