You and 4 homies Vs. the women Huskies, who wins ?

How about the Huskers, or Creighton, maybe your High School Boys team ?

I doubt they'd beat NU, too much size. Probably the Bluejays though.

They should do a battle of the sexes with this team. Play some old washed up pros, I'd watch.

congrats to them no doubt, but their butthead coach should keep his mouth shut, he doesn't do them any favors when he opens up his trap.

I'll tell you what I think Blaze.....I think those girls are very, very, very talented. great shooters, good passers, just overall very good ball players.

However......with that said, the mens game is just too physical and big for women. The UConn guards average around 5'9", their forwards around 6'1"-6'2" and their centers at 6'4". Like most bigs in the game they are slow. So and average 6'4"-6'6" mens forward will out size them and out run them.

I have respect for the womens game, but its not the mens game. Little story for you. The girls in my grade back in middle school/high school were very deep with talent and really good. They went 30-0 in 7th grade, 35-0 in 8th grade. Most of them played varsity as freshmen on a team that lost in the state quarter finals. They then went on to lose just 5 times over the next three years and finished second in state every year the last three. 4 went on to play some level of college basketball, 2 in D-1. in 8th grade, my boys 'B' team teammates accepted a challenge to play them. They wanted to play our 'A' team but our coach said they had to beat us first. We were pretty good and had beaten many other schools 'A' teams. With that said we were the back half of the 15 kids on our team. We went on to run a 42-4 talley on them before the game was called. Thats right, 42-4 still in an uncompleted first half. We were faster, taller, stronger, could jump higher basically could do everything better. We had kids that could play just below the rim, their bigs could barely touch the net. They had no plays inside, because we never let them in the lane and blocked nearly every shot the took anyway. And BTW we were playing with a girls ball which took us some getting used too, but when we got layups and 3 footers all day its easy to adjust.

Later in HS a pickup game with some random players ( half of which were not even on the HS team ) whooped that same girls vasity team. Our girls used to win by 30, now they were down by 30....at half.

Congrats on the UConn womens team for a great womens record, lets leave it at that.

I hear ya on that Fro. Our boys team played the girls in a similar setting and the girls were 8x straight champs. While the boys were lucky to get 10 wins in a season but the games they played verse each other were never close, complete blowouts.

Congrats to UCONN ! All credit to Geno Auriemma and his squad, especially Maya Moore.
