Looks like Adidas did a decent job with Eastern Michigan's alternate helmets:

I love the matte finish that they are starting to put on helmets. Got a nice stealth feel to it.

Those Steelers jerseys are kind of an exception though, as all those goofy old NFL jerseys a few years ago were - they aren't mean to look "cool", they're just meant to look old.

Just matte white, or are you liking matte black? I don't have any inside info, but I'm guessing they'll go with matte black and an all-black look for the alternates. They very much took notice of the hoopla surrounding the infamous black helmet pic last season.

Matte black looks pretty good I think, but I don't know that I'd ever seen matte white before and I definitely like the white better. But yeah, I'm expecting some black for the alternates. Not necessarily an all-black look, but there will be some black there I'm sure

I have nowhere else to put this. I was looking for Husker cycling gear and this made me laugh. You wrap it around your bike helmet. (imo the N is way too big)

Not anymore. And our cheerleaders change their "uniforms" all the time. They have gone retro, they've gone the very-short-skirt route, all over the board. I think their uniforms (are they uniforms? What do you call them?) every year.
