Nebraska captains refuse to shake Iowa captains’ hands?

I couldn’t care less about not shaking hands, but I’m gonna give it a huge eye roll if they skipped it because Iowa wouldn’t let them be Christian in the right location…

I saw a something yesterday, can’t remember who, that said Iowa wanted the logo to be visible.  If so, a lot of other options as simple as moving it to the hashes.

Hopefully the snub had nothing to do with something as stupid as that.

I think it’s beyond friggen stupid that other teams have such a problem with it. 

 
If we would have won the game, is this handshake ordeal even a story? No. Do I like the look? No. Do we care what Iowa players, coaches, fans, or their admin think? No.

The whole prayer deal doesn't need to be at the 50, but it really isn't harming anyone and if prayer is disrespectful, we have a whole other set of issues that should be examined. That said, Iowa players and coaches have been disrespectful for years. Like the racial issues within their program, disrespectful actions get swept under the rug if the team wins more often than it doesn't. 

 
When you are the only team on the field meet where ever the hell you want to.  Midfield, the 20, the endzone(well maybe they should do this and get accustomed to getting there) where ever.  As long as there is no interference to another team warming up or going through their own pregame stuff, this should be a complete non factor and is a f#&%ing joke so many are up in arms.

I kinda get it.  In the new world of college sports, imaging and marketing are huge issues.  I can understand why teams want their logo visible on tv cameras during pregame interviews and other discussions in the booth by broadcasters.  Its free advertising for the home team.

The same reason players have the labels of their drinks visible during post game interviews.

No, it’s immature and stupid. Our team would be in it for what, 5 minutes?  

 
I dont know if its been mentioned already but Butler came out and said there were multiple games the captains didn't shake hands.  I also had a converstation with my father who was a HC for 30+ years and he was on the side that not shaking hands gave motivation to Iowa.  My feelings as someone who went out and shook hands and had multiple times when other teams refused I said "It didn't matter, not like I said oh they didn't shake hands now I'm gonna try to have the game of my life, that was decided the night before".  I really don't care if they shooks hands or not.  Had no bearing on the game

Seems to me, Nebraska didn’t get their way and peacefully went to the endzone for it. But, there’s no reason why the couldn’t have just done it on the 50. 

 
There is generally a "rule" that you don't go to the other side of the field during pregame stuff.

Now, if it is for a prayer or gathering, something like that, that is different.  

As far as not shaking hands, eh, who cares.
