I was at the game on Friday night, and Burkamper just couldn't throw strikes. He was trying to nibble too much, and the umpire wasn't giving him any borderline pitches.

Meanwhile, the Penn State pitcher consistently got ahead of the Husker hitters, and NU couldn't get the lead-off guy on until the 7th inning.

NU had a good response on Saturday and Sunday.
