Nebraska Defense Ranking

Always a husker

Special Teams Player
#25 Points allowed per game 14.3.

#65 Yards allowed per game 347.3.

#33 Rushing yards total 233.

#10 Interceptions 5. :)

I know it's against weak competition but you can definitely see improvement. I didn't want to post pass defense because it's pretty terrible but we look much improved from game 1. GBR.

thats good

So technically, the ranking that we would compare ourselves against to last year's 100+ something (I forget what exactly it was) is #65.

Being the 65th ranked defense after a WACy non-conference schedule is non-too reassuring, mind. The D will still need to step it up.

But B-rent makes an excellent point that the rankings are distorted because a lot of teams have been only through cupcake schedules so far. Still, from a yardage standpoint, 350 isn't terribly awesome. Hopefully we turned the corner with that last game.

always. As you said, we haven't played anybody yet. Many people will not care about these stats. They don't care. Tell them in 2 weeks after we are still doing well after we play Va Tech. They are a real team. People will believe after we beat them.

Somebody posted their Offensive stats, and there worse than some of the teams we have already played!!!

exactly what i'm tryin to get at... honestly, there are two things to stop. And they are the 2 legs of Tyrod Taylor.....

I don't care what the stats end up being as long as we get the W's some how. I will agree though that those are an improvement and that's the basis for things going in the right direction. :thumbs

The real difference from last year is that this D stiffens in the redzone and makes plays. Our yardage won't be that impressive but IMO we should stay fairly stingy points-wise and come-up with more picks.

Pts scored, NE-no. 15, I think.

Was pts allowed mentioned here? TO ratio is another HUGE stat.

4 of the top 5 qb ratings are from the Big XII, u can guess who, so our D will have it's work cut out, since we play all 4. :bonez
