Nebraska Football: A New Beginning (Video)

The production value was very good but the overall video was so-so. Should have shortened the back-story and included more highlights of players that will be playing this year.

But I thought it was interesting.

Man the first part of that was depressing. Who made that video? Doesn't seem to be the type of thing the University would put out but the quality was top notch.

Was posted on reddit a few days ago. 11 minutes is a long time to watch through what is basically a flashback of 100% negativity.

Great quality on the video. Tells the whole story. If you didn't know, you know now. The good and the bad.

You know, if Riley pulls this thing together and wins a Conference title , maybe more, the guy who's gonna look like a genius is Shawn Eichorst.

When Cowherd says nice coaches don't beat Top 25 or Top 75 teams, I would have liked to see clips of the Oregon St game from this past season where they beat #7 Arizona St. Would have gave some perspective on that statement and optimism about Riley.

Excellent video. I thought the backstory was appropriate, even if it was a little bit lengthy. It set the stage for why NU was justified to fire a nine-win coach.

Production was great. The first like 81/2 minutes depressing as hell. The remaining was a new beginning showing our old history.............. We haven't been relevant since 2001........ 14 years. That hurts more than any coaching, talent, location, philosophy etc. Winning brings winners.

Riley needs to show that we can win against ranked teams. Win the conference and expand from there. Who knows where NU would be now had we won in 2009 and then against OU and Wisky. I would like to think in a different spot. Maybe Bo would have been hired away or still fired. Who knows. Bottom line is we ned to restore a winning tradition.

Do we know of the University put this out. I didn't mind it and thought that it might look like a slam to Bo. But then again, it didn't say anything that wasn't fact and sometimes the truth hurts. I like Riley, I like the new attitude he brings. He seems like a class act that is well respected. I really hope he can win games because I would like to see him around for awhile. He's 62yrs old so I also am curious how long he would coach for. I still wish they would have brought Scott Frost in and made him the highest paid OC and let he and Riley know that Frost was there to be groomed as the next HC.. However I know Frost will probably get HC offers sooner rather than later, and probably wouldn't want to wait the 5-6 years under Riley..

Pretty sure it was not from the university. Definitely not officially.
