I read on another board today from a long-time booster of the program, he basically said he was around when the masses were calling for Devaney to be removed, and then when TO was given the reigns the masses once again were fired up and ready to hang him. If we wouldn't have stuck w/these two great coaches that had a great vision and leadership at that time we would not have won any titles here at NU. Now, when the going gets tough, here come the nay-sayers calling for the coaches to have their "throats slashed" and get out of town. These people don't see the positive direction the team is headed, are not aware of the road ahead and are just looking at the here and now. Most of the passion for a football team comes from the recent game, and the KU game was HORRIBLE. But if you take time to look at where we're headed, we're definitely going forward and not in reverse any longer. We're not moving very fast, but we will.
The 1st sign of weakness is giving up, and I definitely know I haven't given up on the team or the coaches yet.
