Nebraska is ranked 15th on Rivals what happend?

We got all these good recruits and are only ranked 15th? WTH? It's a little disappointing looking at teams who win the BCS usually have a top 5 recruiting class.

Gotta trust the coaches to be able to find/mold players (regardless of :star :star :star :star :star ) into the studs that fit into our Offensive/Defensive philosophies.

I don't care what the rivals rating for this class is. This is a excellent class. GREAT O-line talent coming in. Top notch talent in other areas too. Screw rivals.

I don't think you can complain about our rivals rating. This is a really good class. And you can't forget we lost Mitchel, Bryant, and Sade. If this class finishes strong with Peat, Wile, Carter, Lake, and a LB we will be a top 10 class I think.

Being ranked 15th with only 17 recruits is pretty damn good compaired to other teams who have like 20 to 25. I don't buy into all the stars, I trust Bo and his staff when it comes to scouting the type of talent they need.

some teams got those big recruits to sign.. and we lost TM and the guy who committed for a day along wit the dorky looking kicker (aren't they all) (Alex Henry's old rivals pic is pure gold... looks like its taken behind some industrial russian gulag wet dream) from raleigh

but when are we gonna get a class where we can take 20 plus guys....

I too have been wondering that. It seems like we are always on a scholarship crunch when every other school is able to take 25 (and sometimes more) recruits each year. Next year it'll be 3 years in row where I have been hearing that we can only sign about 20-22 recruits.

Is it because our walk-ons end up getting scollys later in their careers?

It's because of red-shirt inconsistency and lack of attrition.. Walk-on scholarships typically help increase class numbers, because they earn them late in their careers.

as i've said elsewhere, i think we have room for a bigger class this year, we're just having a hard time filling it out. this has been a disappointing finish to this class to this point.

also, i love the kids we've got signed and it is a good class overall, but there are some gaping holes at positions of need (cornerbacks and a kicker in particular, LB and DE to a lesser extent).

Before Aaryn Bouzos decommitted today, we were sitting @ #15 with 1499 pts. and a 3.53 avg. star rating. Now we're still @ #15 with 1497 pts. and a 3.62 avg. star rating.
