Nebraska To Host UT-Martin in 2012

Jamrog is so full of sh#t. Does anyone remember this quote when this tard was handed this made up position by TO? What an Fing hypocrite, all talk and still schedules sh**ty teams.

It seems that Pelini isn't exactly excited about the schedule he inherited from former athletic director Steve Pederson and former coach Bill Callahan.
Nebraska assistant athletic director for football Jeff Jamrog told the Omaha World-Herald that he's actively seeking upcoming games -- and only against Division I opponents.

The Cornhuskers will be playing Florida Atlantic, Louisiana-Lafayette and Arkansas State next season, and Western Kentucky, Idaho and Football Championship Subdivision power South Dakota State in 2010.

"It looks like they wanted to schedule a bunch of wins," Jamrog said. "We can't do anything about it. We can't do anything about the guarantees that were set, unless you want to cancel the contracts. But we aren't interested in doing that."

Well technically, they are a Division 1 school. We already had this discussion.

1-AA, so this is ok with you? It's a joke that all Jamrog has scheduled is teams like this. We all know that playing a Colorado type schedule is stupid, but you should always have one marquee game, one lower BCS type team and two easy wins. Unless I'm mistaken, all Jeff has scheduled is a bunch of easy wins.

No, I would rather we play at least one, if not two games against BCS schools and then have the remaining be non-BCS schools.

You and I agree on how the schedule should be made, it's really the only logical way of doing it. But Jeff needs to schedule somebody with a heartbeat soon, or he's looking like a huge hypocrite.

UCLA, Miami and Tennessee are easy wins? Well, Miami may be when we play them now :corndance

UCLA and Tennessee were scheduled by Peterson and Miami was scheduled by TO before he hired Jamrog.

Well, in that case: Jamrog needs to schedule someone with a heartbeat!

Just heard Bo Ruud on 93.7 The Ticket on the way home, and he talked about playing "D2" Nicholls State when he was at Nebraska. I wasn't joking when I said it's pretty common to refer to D1AA as "D2."

Ive never heard anyone refer to 1AA as "D2" before this thread. You must be hearing things. Even if, and this is a big if, people you talk to do refer to it as "D2", it still doesn't make it correct. There is a difference between 1AA and D2. The whole thing that was funny about this thread is that you thought D2 and 1AA are the same thing. Who cares if people mistakenly call 1AA "D2". Anyone who thinks 1AA is the same as D2 is just an idiot.

Well, if we're going to get snooty about it, it's not 1AA anymore. Ya wisenheimer.
