Nebraska vs. Washington, pt. 2

What a joke. If it wasn't for guys like Roy Helu and Alex Henery playing in their final games I wouldn't even watch. And that's saying a lot as I never miss games (heck I have close to 50 old games from 4 decades on disc...)

It's true that Mizzou got snubbed last year in favor of ISU because the Insight officials thought ISU fans would buy more tickets. But then they up their payout and pass on one of the best traveling fan bases in the country? I bet some Iowa fans who were on the fence would have gone too to see their squad play Nebraska too.

Last night I spent some time looking into Insight tickets and half planning a vacation to Phoenix to take my mind off the game...I will not go to the Holiday Bowl. Hell I might not even stay up to watch it. Season is over as far as I'm concerned, there's no positive spin on this besides extra practices and an extra game few will care about and even fewer will watch.

It's true. There's no excitement in this game. We could come out on fire and roll them or come out flat and get beat. Who really cares. The bowls are about intriguing matchups. This isn't one. A few more lame duck matchups for us and I may throw my bid in for the playoff (probably not).

 
this could go one of two ways: players and coaches disappointed, play down to their competition, it's a close game, NU looks bad. OR bo is PISSED, players are PISSED and NU wins 77-0. either way this is complete BS but honestly not that surprising seeing how everything else has gone the last several months.

 
I'm just as upset about this as everyone else, but anyone saying they will not watch the game is full of bologne. Everyone will watch the game, stop kidding yourselves. Maybe you will not attend the bowl, but we all know you guys will watch it. But at the same time, playing Washington again stinks. And I will be rooting 100% for Iowa to beat the ever living crap out of Mizzou. Everyone says the Big 10 is like a brotherhood, so I'm going to join it and start rooting for every Big 10 team, even if they are playing a Big 12 team this year in a bowl.

 
Honestly I might not watch the game. I'll have better things to do. It's the holiday season and the kids and wife and I will be with family from all sides so really...It went from top priority to meh. Plus we'll probably lay an egg.

 
We were going with a group of 20 people to the Insight Bowl..........now after a quick poll, 15 have decided not to go, myself included. The heck with the bowl selection, I wish NE would decline.

We are going to Aspen instead.

what a joke, the attendance for this one will be miserable, fans will not go for this piece of sh#t match up.

definitely a final snub against NU...team should be pissed enough to run up the score to 70 points or more.
