That's not interference.

But it did look like she had her foot on the bag while she was tagged, and her foot only came off once she was no longer being tagged. So she was probably safe, but that's a tough call for the ump to make there. Oh well, I don't want to use up any good luck on softball anyway.

 
9.3.1 Obstruction is the act of a defensive team member that impedes the progress

of a base runner or batter-runner who is legally running bases, unless the fielder

is in possession of the ball, in the act of fielding a batted ball or about to receive

a thrown ball, or that hinders or impedes a batter’s attempt to make contact with

a pitched ball. Obstruction applies to live-ball play only

In other words, Tatum was out, no obstruction, call was correct, etc. Still a really close call and a brutal way to end the game.

 
Great effort and scrappiness. Hate to negate a great game by whining about the calls, but it did seem as if almost every close play or call went the other way.

Still a performance to be proud of.

 
On the plus side, at least we lost this way to Florida. If we would have won and then lost like that to Texas today, I think a mini-meltdown might have happened on HB.

 
very proud of our girls. tough game to lose, but the way i look at it is that they played over two games with no break. they would lose tomorrow anyways and so will florida. but it still would have been nice to get the W.

 
Great job girls!!! Had they not folded against Washington, I think these girls would have made it to the final 4, or possibly in championship game.

Definitely proud of this team! Thanks for the update knapp!
