Just watched this match for the 157 lb Midland Championship. I teach my wrestlers that if you don't want a match to be in the refs hands, keep it in yours, but Berger got hosed in the OT with a no call on the takedown.

I agree. It was close, but I think he had control long enough for it to count.

Wish I could make the trip to Iowa City for the rematch. Thought a fight was happening after Midlands!!

Berger is a fiery guy, and it seems like he gets more than his fair share of close, meaningful matches.

Nebraska picked up a commitment from Alex Thomsen, one of the best high school wrestlers in the nation. Very good get

Brock Hardy committed to us yesterday. Another very good get for Manning.  Will wrestle 149 for us.

Future looks really bright.  No shame in a top 5 conference finish when 7 of your 10 starters are Sophomores or younger.

Not a good start to the tournament...

Change in the bracket at 133 pounds .... Nebraska's Jason Renteria had too big a breakfast and did not make weight. The freshman is out ... Northwestern's Colin Valdivez, the first alternate, takes his place in the bracket and faces Buffalo's Bryan Lantry
