Nebraska Wrestling

So wrestling got hit with covid, dang.  I just read this..

Nebraska wrestling has canceled its upcoming dual against South Dakota State due to COVID-related illnesses with the Husker program.

The No. 8 team in the country will take the next couple weeks and return to action Jan. 7 against Purdue.

 


Darnit!  I can't make it down there tonight.  Those tumblers look sweet!  I would 100% buy one if they came up for sale.

 
I'm going to try and find some time to watch it later but woof, not a great display by Nebraska's core guys at 74 and 84.  I'm assuming Red was out due to injury of some sort?  Looks like Nebraska was short handed in a couple of spots but no excuses, especially by Labs at 74 dropping a match.  

Were they just super flat @MLB 51?

 
I didn't get started watching until the 165 match, but yes, they looked flat.

Labs looked fairly off, but his match was winnable. Venz just pulled a Venz. :) Robb was out, but I'm not sure why? It showed him as being in the starting lineup.

Guessing the long break didn't help us?

 
Labs looked a bit better tonight. He caught at the end, but picked up 2 on a reversal to win 7-5.
