They looked pretty good in the second half.
Rebounding & defensive rotations are still a work in progress.
Too many guys leaking out instead of going to the defensive glass. It didn't help when we had a team on the floor where Wilcher was the second tallest player.
Like many teams early in the year, defensive rotations are too slow leading to open 3's.
Verge is definitely a game changer. Can get in the lane any time he wants and knows where to make the pass. Great pick & roll combo with Walker. Sometimes tries to make plays out of the system.
Breidenbach looks good, but needs to get stronger.
Edwards was a nice surprise with his shooting. Defense needs to be more instinctual - he's thinking too much and is out of position a lot.
Bryce McGowens looked OK. Nothing great, but solid other than shooting & that will even out. He's not going to shoot 15% for the season. Needs to just relax and play.
I thought Andre looked good. He didn't come in until semi-junk time, but I think he can solve some of our rebounding issues. He's long and bouncy. He actually brought the ball up several times to start the offense. He looks stronger than last year, but still needs to get stronger.
Tominaga is going to be huge. Shoots really well (obviously) and knows where to be on defense. Quick hands & feet.
Kind of surprised that Webster didn't play more. Not sure if that was because he won't be playing much or Hoiberg just knows what he's going to get from him.
McPherson won't play much & should redshirt.
Kojenets looked better last night than he did at the meet the team event. He seems to need structure. He should redshirt to get stronger.
Got exactly what was expected Trey McGowens, Walker & Mayen.
