My guess is neutral court games are viewed more highly by the computers, and thus the committee, than home games, so this is a chance for better numbers in that regard.

I'm sure there's other reasons as well.

Sioux Falls has a fairly new arena and has gotten a game similar to this the last 3-4 years.  It works out good for both teams because they don't have to do a home & home, but get to play a major conference team.

There actually is a pretty strong Nebraska faction there. 

This isnt that much different than playing in Des Moines or Kansas City in my mind.

If Nebraska can add a few more fans what harm does it do?

I imagine this will be a bit of a let down game and OSU is not a bad team.  Won't shock me to see a bit of a struggle fest from both teams since it is not a home game for either of them.

I would assume this game will be played in the high 60's.

Did they miss because of illness or finals?  It's hard to schedule practice around finals most years & a few players miss a practice or two because it overlaps with a final.
