This is so funny,  we loss a close game on the road against a team with a dominate big man and fans go nuts. This team is trash.   We will win a game down the road against a good team and we will be great again. Jeez.  We have no bulk,  we will struggle to beat teams like this!

MD has two NBA (first rounders, maybe) Vegas had the line dead on (shocker) no reason to panic if you are a Husker fan BUT it does suck to see this happen again...especially with a veteran team.

But again, they are 11 wins away from being in for sure.  5 of those will be Rutgers, PSU and one more against Illinois.  So they need 6 more "real" wins

Kent Pavelka was going crazy at the end there. Was it actually a foul when Roby was going up for the ball? Regardless we needed to hit our free throws and we win this game. More ball movement down the stretch would have also helped instead of Palmer playing hero ball- although he was hooping tonight. Lastly, we needed one stop and we couldn't get it and that needs to be corrected as the season goes on.

Naw that wasn't a foul.  I really liked the play design, but the defender played it great.

There wasn’t a foul on Roby at the end. It looked like contact initially, but it was clean.

Regarding the D at the end, the 1-3-1 zone created a bad shot in the 2nd to last possession, it was kind of a fluky bounce and Maryland got the offensive rebound and put back. On the last possession, it was a big, talented guy, making a good play. Sometimes that happens.

People are going nuts because it's easy, simple things that cost Nebraska games. Things like Free Throws and turnovers are easy to control and will win games like this.

I agree, but the sun will come up in the morning for most.   I'm laughing at the bi-polar posters.  It is hilarious!!!!

Look around the country - free throws aren't "a given"  and both teams had similar turnovers.  NU needed to do better with both FT% and TO in this game but they are not given's

I’ll say again, Nebraska wins a lot of games in spite of Tim Miles bc the talent covers the coaching deficiencies.  Unfortunately this wasn’t one of them.

I wasn't able to watch tonight, so I only have the radio guys to base this off of...

But it does not seem like we adjusted well tonight to how Maryland was playing us and how the refs were calling the game. Sounded like they were bodying us up most of the night and refs were letting a lot go early on. Seems like they started to call some more stuff late, but it seems to me it took a long time of Miles being pissed (who wouldn't be?) before we adjusted and started doubling to avoid getting muscled or mugged.

Not sure if we can't or just wouldn't refuse to get bodied up inside. That was an issue in the Minny loss too.

And the little stuff like turnovers and missed FTs. This team is very talented but has some very clear deficiencies that will cap their potential. Not the least of which is the coach.

It’s tough watching the most talented team in quite a while play Miles ball.  Why doesn’t the Platteview kid play more?
He picked up three fouls in two minutes in the first half.  He could have played about two more minutes before fouling out.  Do you really think two more minutes of Heiman would have changed the game?

I hate watching Watson bring the ball up and cross half court at 21 seconds.  When he does that they never run any offense, they just make one or two passes and jack up a three.

When you inbound the ball with 28 seconds down by one, why do you go into your offense immediately?  If the objective is to get Palmer to the line, then wait until about eight seconds to start your play.  Then you give them three or four seconds to score instead of the other way around.

NU was down by a point.  Scoring in that possession isn't guaranteed.  I don't have any issue with trying to score with 20 seconds left.  If NU takes the ball down to 10 seconds, they risk not getting a good shot off.  Also, if NU doesn't score in the initial attempt, they can foul Maryland and extend the game.
