Nebrasketball @ Iowa

You didn't see the game, but you're going to blame it on Worster.  Confirmation bias at it's finest.
No, i did not see the game, but listened.  It is the same old thing with him dribbling  most of the clock & not getting the ball to scorers. His stats show it all 1 assist in 30 min.of play.

Yeah it's not right, Worster was not to blame.  Can be like me and not enjoy his type of game or how he affects the offense or contributes to the flow of the offense, but it clearly was on Gary's performance, missing shots inside to stop a run by Iowa, the team missing free throws, and a bit of a let down on defense.  Also, Iowa made big buckets and couldn't miss their FTs.

We missed 10 FT, 5 which were Worster.

Read all the posts, as this is what I posted a couple pages ago.

We lost this game, by leaving it up the refs.  Worster is 2 for 7 from the line, Gary took 20+ shots, to many careless TOs, poor perimeter def. In the 2nd half.

Here you go guys.  The low-lights is what we don't see.  I still think NU let this one slip away.  We will bounce back.

We all need something or someone to blame.  I say we blame the slow white guy.  Who's in?  GO TEAM!
lol right ?!  Hey now, I gave credit to Iowa a couple of times already, crediting their shooting, defense and clutch Free Throws.

I think it all comes down to missed free throws.  If they shoot their normal 75% they win.  Instead of being 9/16 in regulation, they would have been 12/16 and Iowa would have had to foul at the end to send Nebraska to the line instead of the other way around. The last free throw Nebraska took was Brice Williams making a pair with 5:06 to go, so if they shoot their normal percentage, they would have had three more points and when Worster got a rebound with 23 seconds left, Iowa would have had to foul to extend the game because Nebraska would have been up 2 and without Iowa fouling, they would have just run out the clock.

All the too many turnovers, bad shooting from Gary, made 3's from Iowa & the "bad" officiating wouldn't have mattered.

Yes, you pick out one or two things you don't like and focus on that, ignoring anything else.

Worster played pretty well.  He got us out of a couple of long scoring droughts by being aggressive.  Two of the free throws he missed were after a hard foul where he got laid out, his neck twisted and banged his head on the floor.

My point is not last night.  I said earlier in the year that he would be our question mark in the Big Ten.  I hope I'm wrong, but he has not thus far.  He lacks any kind of team offense by dribbling too much & getting shots late in the clock.  His outside shooting has gotten better, but still not good.  His free throw shooting is a problem - 66% non-conference & 56% in Big Ten.  The big ten pg have & will continue to take advantage of his slow reactions on def.

Honestly, I'm about as frustrated with this loss as I was with the football loss.

Why are these types of outcomes always with friggen Iowa?

Agreed.  Both had wins slipped away.  Iowa got hot from outside, made FTs and we went cold.  And I have no clue how it's always against Iowa, or so it seems.  Iowa somehow seems to be a 4th quarter / 2nd half team of destiny against NU.  It's beyond crazy.   :ahhhhhhhh

Honestly, after how you talked about Brice Williams last year, I can't take anything you say seriously on here. He was clearly the best player last year (and this year for that matter) and you bagged on him constantly...now he's one of the best in the league...maybe the country, and crickets...

We both can love the same school but have differing opinions...it's what makes the world go around 😆

Agreed, last year was about Brice.  He forced too many shots, like Gary is doing this year.  This year he is letting the game come to him & is more under control.  I don't like one on one & not getting other players involved. We play better when we share the ball.  I still think worster is close to worthless!  :D
