Nebrasketball thrills in last night at DevaneyGrant Muessel

For one last time, the student section poured onto the court after the scoreboard showed double zeroes, and 53-51.

Don’t you worry Minnesota, there was nothing you could do.

This was Nebraska’s night, no matter how much taller you stood or higher you sat in the rankings. Sports has a funny way of making sure the right thing happens. Sports usually obeys its own poetic justice system.

Nice win for the Skers! Congrats to Tim Miles and the team. Let's hope we can have a decent showing at the B1G tournament and who knows, a couple of wins might get us into the NIT. That would be a step in the right direction although I think many of us feel regardless of us getting into post season or not, we have already made strides in the right direction! GBR

"The crowd seemed determined to start demolition of the 35-year-old arena ahead of schedule." ???

Uh..........you'd think that someone writing an article for public consumption would at least know there is no "demolition"...

They're going to radically change the interior, and that's going to require some demolition.

Knapplc; posted this before I seen your post and I guess I would have said (if I was the writer);

While not wanting to parse too severely, a random thesaurus peak at demolition reveals: destruction, pulling down, knocking down, annihilation, devastation, and flattening.

Certainly there is going to be some renovation, but to those unfamiliar with the future usage of the Devaney, it seems like the choice of the word demolition would tend to lean more towards destruction.

They're going to destroy, pull down, knock down and flatten some walls.

I'm sure a guy writing on a deadline didn't give as much thought to parsing "demolition" as we're giving it, considering his time constraints (and probably hoping to sleep a little last night) but it's not a wholly ill-fitting word.
