Nebrasketball vs BYU Exhibition

I disagree that we were clearly the better team. Dybansta is definitely one of the best players in the country, as we could not stop him. Because Mast was hot from 3, he kept us in this game. Offensively, it appears we can score as we have several options. Defense will need to improve a lot.
I didn't say we were the better overall team, but when Dybantsa was off the floor I thought Nebraska was the better team. When he rested in the first half, Nebraska went on a run to go from a few points down, to up 6 at the under 4 timeout. With him in the game, they finished the half on a 10-0 run.

Dybantsa is clearly a difference maker for them, but you'd hope that the reported 7M in NIL would get you a difference maker. Based on what I saw at the game, without him they would be an NCAA bubble team.

Nebraska won't learn much about themselves until they play Oklahoma in Sioux Falls. Midland, West Georgia, FIU & Maryland Eastern Shore are basically the equivalent of preseason games.

Eh ... Leo Curtis played 2 minutes. Jared Garcia played 7. Kendall Blue played 11. Those were the only guys outside the top eight who played. That's not going all that deep into the bench. BYU had 10 guys play at least 10 minutes. Only three guys played more than 18 (we had six).
Leo Curtis only played because of foul trouble for Berke & Jarusevicius is out with a back injury. I expect Curtis to redshirt this year or play very sparingly. Jarusevicous will likely play 10-15 minutes per game backing up Mast.

Garcia was limited because he is still recovering from an ankle injury. I would expect him to play more once he's back to 100%.
