I learned something watching this game. We had a guy go up for an alley-oop, was fouled and never touched the ball. Shot two free throws.
I find it interesting that a player can get fouled in the act of shooting...and never touch the ball.
If it's the play I'm thinking it is, Morgan went up to catch the alley-oop and the North Florida defender hit his arms from behind before he was able to catch the ball. I thought it looked like Morgan did touch the ball, but maybe not.Interesting.
I don't know how the college rulebook reads but in high school you would have to have control of the ball for a "try" to begin so it shouldn't be ruled that way in high school.

I thought he didn't touch it. But, I could be wrong. I didn't go back and rewatch it.If it's the play I'm thinking it is, Morgan went up to catch the alley-oop and the North Florida defender hit his arms from behind before he was able to catch the ball. I was at the game but didn't have the best angle on it, so I could be wrong too.I thought he didn't touch it. But, I could be wrong. I didn't go back and rewatch it.
