Great team defense, yes. Outstanding effort.

Answers offensively? Eh .... maybe. We were pretty stagnant in the second half. After only scoring 25 in the second half against Michigan State. Sandfort hit a three right off the bat in the second half. Then we only scored two points in the next five-and-a-half minutes. Then we went another six minute stretch with one field goal a little later. That's not much of an offense. But our defense is good enough to get away with in (and we had built a lead in the first half when we were better on offense).
 
Really good D by the Buckeyes- their zone presses ran clock, didn't let them get into their offense. And Sandfort really struggled... but this team is so tough, and I swear at moments Mast is just unstoppable. What a team!!

Huskers were actually ranked 8th in the mid-60's. Didn't make the NCAA tournament because they finished 2nd in the Big 8 behind Kansas and the tournament only allowed one team per conference at that time (and 16 total).

I was wondering if anyone would remember that. Probably would have won a game or two in the tourney, that year.

Not just "the nerves." A mood does seem to sweep over them and the offense stagnates. We should have won that game by 12 points or more going by how the defense was playing. I honestly thought we were going to be outscored (happened against Michigan State at home, too). Got the W though.

Last night, our offense was good when it needed to be. We seemed to get comfortable at times, stand around & take bad shots.
