Netflix & streaming video stuff worth watching

Watched Moonfall on HBO/Max this weekend. It was turrible. Advertised with a Armegeddon/2012 vibe. Failed to deliver anything worthwhile. Bad special effects, story, acting, everything. Don’t waste 2:10 of your life on this dog. Only redeeming quality was John Bradley (Samwell Tarley) was in it. Not that he was particularly good or anything, just in it and I like him  :lol:

 
New stand-up special on Netflix from Sheng Wang called "Sweet and Juicy." He was a writer for "Fresh Off the Boat." Thought it was pretty damn funny 

 
The Hotel Artemis movie on Showtime or Starz? is a bit different and entertaining. I liked it quite a bit.

the Jeffrey Dahmer series is good and then follow that up with the Jeffrey Dahmer tapes is pretty grizzly.  Also there is a good Documentary on Nolan Ryan on Netflix.  

 
I just started The Rings of Power this past weekend and have about one episode to go. I'm a bit surprised by the all the criticism it received from LotR fans. There are definitely some gripes I have with it (primarily that it, at times, does cash on its namesake as opposed to trying to tell a better story) but overall I think it's interesting. Visually, it's quite impressive, as well. I like a lot of the world designs they've put into it.

 
You owe it to yourself to watch the Weird Al movie that just came out, it's on the Roku TV app. Weird Al is a national treasure and a true American hero. 




 
Binged through Peaky Blinders over the last few weeks. Very good series on Netflix. Probably has been mentioned earlier in this thread.

 
Nope. (movie on Peacock)

Wasn’t a fan. Strong M Night Shyamalan “Signs” vibes but lacking the tension. Seemed more like some of Shyamalan’s worse efforts. Not completely without merit I just expected more. Will I watch it again? Nope.

 
Bullet Train (Netflix)

Excellent! Loved this movie. I mean it’s no Schindler’s List but is highly entertaining, irreverent and funny. Sort of a funnier Kill Bill type movie. If you don’t like this movie there is something wrong with you. 5*
