never seen a team

That when something good or the momentum changes that we are real good and if anything bad happens, we look like worst team in division 1 football.

I have serious doubts if we will win another game this season. Defense is getting worse and offense..... well it existed one game this year. Yet another streak will fall on Peterson's watch when we lose to Kansas. Why do the Huskers make every mediocre team look great? I am getting sick of this. Why did BC not keep up with the short passes in the flats. Taylor could not hit anything beyond 15 yards or so. SO pick them to death with the little stuff. Why does BC not try Beck at QB? Most coaches realize, when a QB has no rythm going it is time to try another QB to see if something else will work. It may be that our line is so bad this year he does not want to risk our star QB, so he just hangs Taylor out there this season, wating for great things next year. Oh well enough bitching.

I agree with most of what you said. The Kansas game is looking tougher and tougher as every minute passes. At least 6-5 is better than last year right? I think that's a reasonable prediction of where we might finish. I almost feel like the team and coaches are lying to us in their interviews when they say that they are improving every week. When are we going to see this? In two years when Beck and Lucky are starting?

I would much rather have a staff that says we are improving each week than one that says we are not. I'm not sure what good that would do. So what if they are just saying to appease, its better than saying we are stagnant.

It almost seems like the coaches don't realize what is working in the game. FOr instance why does COsgrove go to prevent defense against T Tech when bliting him was the only thing that stopped his passing attack? Why does it take COach C so long to adapt to the other teams offenses. THe post game show they said that OU was showing them some new looks, and so at half time they made adjustments. WHy does it take our coaches so long to make these changes, it is not like the players are playing both ways. Fix the problem before the other team scores a ton of points>>>> if we do that we don't always have to come from behind. Maybe a different look on offense is in order. I know run the option once..... I know tha will never happen because BC would be afraid it would work better than the WCO. Oh well.... It has to be tough for the players the last few years watcing all the milestones and records the previous teams have set, slowly slip away. Not really the way you want to be remembered.

Yup, you're right, Callahan is afraid to run the option because he's afriad it would work better than the wco. That is idiotic, I don't care if you don't like the offense man, but come on. I'm pretty sure with the way the oline is blocking the option wouldn't have very many options. I loved NU football back in the day but you have to admit the good ol' option wasn't working that great after TO retired. Even with Crouch it wasn't much of an option, it was Crouch being an amazing athlete. The wco offense can work, it has at many places, pro and college, its certainly on to you to not like an offense but come up, there is life after option football.

This NU team is more frustrating to watch than last year because I had hopes of seeing more offensive balance & consistancy as the season progressed. If you remember our O-line last year was fairly decent and we had a reasonable rushing attack. The O-line is much much worse that it was a year ago and that has crippled any rushing game, so we're one-dimensional.

KU beat Mizzou today 13-3, KSU played CU to a stand-off and finally lost 23-20. Lets face it, we could easily lose the next 3 games!

wat can we do... we cant get down on this team, it has shown way too much heart thus far in the season. i am gonna be right there rooting along the way, and i think they have a shot at all three teams. why not. if we get a break or two for once, and a different officiating crew, we have a chance to win. keep the faith big red

Should we blitz every play?

No I am not saying that, but Cosgrove gets too conservative at times. Especially with Hodges. He figured out how to stop them with pressure, and then he dropped back into prevent defense on their last drive. Granted minus the fumble we win, but why not continue with what is working. I just don't understand why it takes so long to slow down the opponents Offense

No offense dude, but that's just the dumbest statement i have ever heard. You want to burn a whole season of eigibility so we can play as QB for 3 games, maybe 4? No coach in his right mind will put in a Freshman QB just for that purpose unless he is FORCED to for injury purposes.

and i'd take issue with the statement that taylor isn't in a groove. he is... when he has an offensive line keep the heat off of him.

when the quarterbacker gets planted 9 times in a game, you better believe it's gonna have an adverse affect on the outcome.

that being said... hell of a game and it breaks my heart that the huskers almost pulled it out.
