New addition

There is a new addition to the family. My wife gave birth to our new baby girl at 8:45 this evening. She weighed 9lbs 4 oz....I will never, EVER call my wife a wimp again. For all of you who have had kids I now understand the feeling of welcoming a new baby into the world.....I cannot think of anything better.

We just have to decide if she is going to be a future Husker in gymnastics or volleyball....the wife was a gymnast and loves it!
Enjoy it now, when they're teenagers you'll wanna get rid of them.
Not true. The older they get the more wonderful they become.

These are the lyrics from Kenny Chesney's There Goes My Life:

All he could think about was I'm too young for this.

Got my whole life ahead.

Hell I'm just a kid myself.

How'm I gonna raise one.

All he could see were his dreams goin' up in smoke.

So much for ditchin' this town and hangin' out on the coast.

Oh well, those plans are long gone.

[Chorus:]

And he said,

There goes my life.

There goes my future, my everything.

Might as well kiss it all good-bye.

There goes my life.......

A couple years of up all night and a few thousand diapers later.

That mistake he thought he made covers up the refrigerator.

Oh yeah..........he loves that little girl.

Momma's waiting to tuck her in,

As she fumbles up those stairs.

She smiles back at him dragging that teddy bear.

Sleep tight, blue eyes and bouncin' curls.

[Chorus:]

He smiles.....

There goes my life.

There goes my future, my everything.

I love you, daddy good-night.

There goes my life.

She had that Honda loaded down.

With Abercrombie clothes and 15 pairs of shoes and his American Express.

He checked the oil and slammed the hood, said you're good to go.

She hugged them both and headed off to the West Coast.

[Chorus:]

And he cried,

There goes my life.

There goes my future, my everything.

I love you.

Baby good-bye.

There goes my life.

There goes my life.

Baby good-bye.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It has been a very fun experience. We are going home today and we are both a little nervous, but excited at the same time.

TOB-I downloaded this song as soon as we found out it was a girl....there is another one by Darius Tucker that is good too.

Think you took my post a little too sincerely, I do have a sixteen year old daughter that yeah I'll dread when this day comes.

Congrats to the both of you! :clap Hopefully, if everything goes well, I'll be bringing home my two boys in August, healthy and happy. The Husker's have some good cornerbacks coming their way in 2027. :clap

Congrats!! I will never forget the day my son was born. Cant imagine a more beautiful day then the day a father first greats his child.
