The OWH reports Tim Thomas of North Carolina Prep school has said "no" to Nebraska, citing family concerns for declining Collier's offer...NEXT!

Prep coach won't come to NU

A second prep school coach in North Carolina has turned down an offer to join the Nebraska basketball staff as a full-time assistant. Tim Thomas, assistant at The Patterson School, said Monday that family considerations led him to tell NU coach Barry Collier no. Thomas will stay at Patterson as an aide to head coach Chris Chaney, who turned down the same Husker opening last week

heard these guys werent interested in working under pederson, cause he has no committment to b-ball, and he is not well respected by a lot of people in the coaching circle. even his old 'friend' (former utah coach) wouldnt work for him.

I heard that it was due to not wanting to move his family, you know, what the actual article written about it says.... Enough with rumors, reveal sources..

I heard Collier is one of the top 3 candidates for the AD job at Butler.

Who is the ideal coach to bring in? I've heard Rick Majerus. What about Larry Brown? Don't remember how much college ball he has coached recently, but what the hell. Any suggestions?

I think Majerus is a big possibility. He and Stevie P are good friends, were spotted in Omaha I think in May. Majerus definately has to get his health in order, but it would be great to get him with all the success he has had over the years.
