New college same ole Dailey

I kept switching back and forth between the Huskers game and the NC game. Man Joe Dailey looked lost out there. Two picks with the last one being the game clincher. Hate to see a kid struggle like that, but just goes to show you...despite what NC reporters stated about Joe being able to run a WCO...he really can't pass well at all.

He would have been good in an option offense, and I think that's why he tried to go there, but then their offense changed too. Wish him the best though.

His numbers were not bad. He did face a Bowl Team.

24 of 36 for 234 yards. 1 TD and 2 ints.

Completed 67% of his passes. Not bad for first game in a new system.

He doesn't have a lot of talent around him and was up against a decent team.

He isn't as bad as made out to be on these message boards. He had zero blocking at UNL and recievers who drop a lot of passes. The play calling inside the 5 yard line was horrible that season. Callahan would always try to pass 3 downs in a row.

I think he takes a lot of bad beats on these boards. If he never transfered, no one would be trashing him now.

You're right because he would of never played another down here!

Taylor had zero blocking last year, but look what he did. Dailey wasn't made for the WCO and he showed it again today, even in a watered down WCO. Two ints against Rutgers? Common, I know they went to a bowl last year, but still it's Rutgers.

From what I saw today, Taylor threw 4 picks, but he was lucky that 3 of them were dropped.

Lay off the kid, he's in a better place for him.

4??????????????? Where are you coming up with that?????

I saw a couple, maybe two bad desicions . Other than that Taylor lit them up.

Is JD better suited for Nebraska than ZT? No

I do beleave it is wrong to trash a former player every chance you get just because things didn't work out with the new coaching staff.

The Kid worked hard at Nebraska and gave his best.

He moved on when things didn't work out. I can't blame him.

He hit the field today against a much better defense than Taylor had to face. He had a higher completion ration than Taylor did today but he is trashed on a Husker board?

Will Beck and Leon Jackson get trashed on the Husker message boards next year when they hit the field? Probably but I have no idea why.

Probably. But I'm sure Keller will be praised much like Taylor is, if he gives similar performances, even though he pulled a stunt much like Beck did.

Are people who bash former players NU fans, or sCUm fans in disguise??

Watch the game again. I did. He had one pick, and 3 other balls that hit Tech defenders right in the hands, and were dropped.

After watching some of the NC game today. Dailey seemed to key on one reciever for way too long. He has yet to learn the art of looking off a reciever and that ended up costing them the game as he only looked at one reciever during the play in which he threw the pick.
