His school built their stadium in the mid 90's (college style seating).  My dad was coaching 3A private school at the time in the same town.  Merrillville HS was 5A at the time.  They called the game battle of Broadway because they are on the same road about 5 miles apart.  My dad's team won the 1st game played there 3-0 on a late 4th quarter field goal.  Was a great game.
