My guess, the students that started that probably graduated or, once the season ends, it is tough to keep that momentum going and next thing you know, you forget about it.

 
Looks like the OP was right. I think it has the right mix of old school and contemporary, so it shouldn't cause much of a stir with the blue hairs. The new song can be found

. I actually like it just as much as "brown" who sings big red anthem and homecoming.
