So ESPN FPI of 112 with his guy Foley in 2024 to Will Comptons hire in 2025 up to 11.....And Rhule's comments about want ST play to be better than Iowa.....I said above 0-3 vs Iowa. I'd stop trying to use that as a barometer of success against a coordinator or position coach in the future. I truly think Rhule was tired of the talk about ST success, by a coach not on his radar, who wanted to assist with LB's who is getting more favorable talk than said HC...

From 112 to above 75 "is not taking much". To go to 11th....That's nothing short of amazing with a lot of the same guys....Also ranked #1 in scoring points via ST's in the nation and #4 overall ST efficiency. Again, a lot more than an modest improvement. Look at the NW game, the ST TD was the margin of victory. After NW erased a 15 1st half lead....Losing Ekeler will hurt. IMHO, egos got involved.

Your opinion. Ekeler is a traveling man, he just does not stay anywhere very long. Its all about Ek, not the team he coaches for. If he does not want to be here, then good bye.

Opinion? 112 to 11....That's about a solid fact as you can find. And Rhule commenting about "being better than Iowa" was his comment, not my opinion. Not my opinion Iowa owns us and I wouldn't ever use success against Iowa as a metric for a coach on my staff seeing as HC is 0-3. Another fact. Also sucks to see one of the better hires in Rhule's tenure popping smoke....To go to a conference opponent.

Ekeler is a traveling man based upon his history. Stayed here from 2008-2010 and helped with one of the most dominate D's at NU and college football. And Rhule making his comments comes across as butt hurt and jealous. But that is my opinion. Unlike the factual turn around Ek orchestrated in year 1.

Like I said before. It was not hard to improve as we were horrible. Remember, we had a weak schedule & special teams the last 4 games did not look great.

Got it. From 112th to 11th in one year was easy. We will just have to agree to disagree. I like Ekeler. His passion and intensity is something that has been missing on the sideline (my opinion). I am glad that for the 1st time since Bo was HC that ST's wasn't a liability. Next years schedule could be brutal. We will need good play again to get to 6 wins.
