I'm assuming the fact that Oregon trying to hire Tuioti is already being reported means it's pretty close to happening.
It does open up that spot to allow the coaching shifts to happen, but I wouldn't take losing him lightly. He has produced results, and that development won't be easy to replace

Veteran defensive line coach Tony Tuioti will join Dan Lanning's staff in Eugene, a source told DuckTerritory.com. Per the source, the hiring is "a done deal", confirming a FootballScoop.com report on Tuesday evening which stated that he was Lanning's target to become the new defensive line coach.

Dan Lanning was hired 8 days ago, and interviews would have happened at least a couple days after that. That doesn't quite line up timing wise to be the hold up. We also literally just offered his kid this week. Did we do that when we knew he was leaving? Nah, sounds like a bid to keep him. Not the hold up but a new development.

Bet Dawson slides down again and Chins/Coach R lead the group. I think people have a significantly worse image of Dawson than he really is. OLBs improved a lot post DeWitt. He was just a terrible special teams coach. Put into position to fail by Frost.
Edit: I realize now that Dawson had some experience as a special teams coach at BC from 09-11

Really? How did Frost put him in a position to fail? It looks like to me he was given the chance to succeed and didn't.
