New Uniforms

Just wanted to see what people thought about changing the current uniforms. I know in the past there's been some switching of the "Adidas" logo from the middle of the jersey to the right shoulder and the deletion of the shoulder stripes around 2002, but nothing major. We seem kind of limited since we only have two colors, while a lot of other schools have 3. Maybe throw some black in the mix. I think changing the N from a single-lined letter to an outlined style (like on the 50-yard line) would be cool.

 
I'm kind of partial to the Blackshirts having a skull/bones on their jerseys. And the O starters with the Husker script.

 
I am not one of those guys that are mad about firing Frank Solich bc I was one that thought it needed to be done. I was all for change and I didnt think it was a bad thing. However some things are better left the same.

 
When they changed the uniforms in the early 2000's it didnt go over well...i wouldnt imagine they will be making any changes any time soon

 
I don't have a problem with how they are now. I'm not a fan of modifying unis very much...some schools get carried away and it just makes them look dumb.

 
Yet another lame thread about adding black (WHICH ARE NOT OUR COLORS!!!!!!!! :madash ) or altering one of the few uniforms in football that have remained constant throughout the years.

Leave wll enough alone and let NU keep its tradition I beg all of you

 
Keep it classic, I remember the uni's that U. of Miami wore back in the day. And aside from being orange and green, they looked alright. Now their uni's are god awful, and don't get me started on those nightmares that Oregon has to wear. :lol:

 
The last time they changed the uniforms, NU had one of their worst seasons in years. Also I didn't like the look of it. Just keep it the way it is, that is what a program with tradition does. But ones without tradition don't care and just change it all the time. We don't want our jerseys to end up look like Oregon's.

 
This thread makes me really happy that in a couple of weeks I can begin getting the baseball games on the radio.

I don't want to sound dramatic but changing the N on the helmets is a horrible idea. The classic thin N on the helmets is my favorite part of the entire uniform. Could you imagine Michigan or USC adding a colored outline to their helmets?
