New wrinkle for fans to be unveiled - towels for 50th sellout anniversary

New wrinkle for the fans....hmmmm....

Linky http://www.huskers.c...2&DB_OEM_ID=100

Nebraska and Michigan don’t need alternate uniforms to make this match-up any more special than it already is. Nebraska will, however, unveil a new wrinkle later in the week that will help Big Red fans celebrate their own milestone.
How about if we come out sharp and execute right away instead of having to make a comeback. That would certainly help ME celebrate our milestone.
I like it. I hope that's what the surprise is.

My guess is one of those "everyone hold up a card to make an image" things.
Card stunts are just so gimmicky. I went to a Chiefs game last year when they did one, and holding up the card you don't really know what's going on... it's more for a TV audience than those in the stands.

I want the black rags all over the stadium for this one. That would be kickass. 100% redout, with black rags.
I really hope that crap doesn't catch on.

The Sea of Red trumps "power towels" every time.
Really? I thought the black flags against Wisconsin were intimidating, and awesome.... It would be a nice addition to the crowd, and wouldn't affect any of our other traditions....
There's nothing intimidating, or awesome, or powerful about "power towels".
Except for the fact that they are call POWER TOWELS!!!!! Intimidating, huh? :smokin

We will play a complete four quarters of football on both sides to commemorate when we were feared across the country and lay a Husker size a$$ whooping on Michicken in honor of the fans sticking with the team.
I don't care about uniform changes, crowd gimmicks, free beer*, etc. THIS is what I want.

*Okay I care about free beer but you get the point

Every fan that attends the Michigan will get to vote after the game on whether or not Bo Pelini should be fired.
Dude, you spew negativity in every thread you comment in, it's getting old and you're being a borderline troll. You can have your opinion, but you are saying the same thing over-and-over again and putting it in A LOT of threads. Get over it............
Yet FLU doesn't get called out for saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over and.... well you get the picture.... ?

We try to keep member discipline private. It's nobody's business if someone is being disciplined, so I understand how you might think certain people get away with things, while others don't. That's not very transparent for all the members, but it's a better way to do business.

Unfortunately, over the past few weeks we've seen a downward trend that needs to be addressed. At the same time, nearly nobody was using the Report function on posts that crossed the line. We've chosen to speak up when someone crosses the line more publicly for the time being so people get the message. Once we're all back on the same page, we'll keep stuff like this between the Mod staff and the specific member.

While we're out in public talking about this, however, and since you specifically mentioned FLU, ask yourself this: When is the last time you saw that guy post?

Bottom line - we're trying to allow for as many opinions and points of view as we can while at the same time having a forum that engenders the most conversation. It's a balancing act, and we're doing our best to find that balance. We won't be perfect, but with the help of you guys, we'll keep this the best Husker forum on the webz.

I think a time capsule is a great idea. I think it would be cool to open a time capsule from 50 years ago this weekend, so I imagine in another 50 years it will be just as interesting to see whats in there.

A team-autographed helmet or game-ball, a ticket stub, and Brady Hokes broken heart. Seems like a great idea.
