Why not red towels?

I've always wondered this? I've been to a couple Nebraska games where they handed out towels, but only black or white ones. Alabama hands out their shakers that are red, creating a "crimson tide". I think red towels would have a neat visual affect. It would play along well with a "sea of red". Just my 2 cents.

My thought would be that black towels on the Sea of Red backdrop creates a more dramatic effect. That's my guess. Red towels on the Sea of Red would get washed out a little bit.

The stadium already looks really dark at night. Black towels on a dark sea of red is going to look more like a sea of dark crimson and black.

The black towel thing is a little underwhelming... Oh well, it should be pretty intimidating for the opposing team.

Let's rock the stadium on Saturday night. I'd still like to go, but I haven't found tickets.
