Next Coach?

Chuck Long is my pick
Hmmmmmmm....interesting....very interesting....but he'll still be available after next year when Cally gets canned.
will he be available?............I think so....He is a decent guy who seems to be very good at what he does...I like the midwest roots and the fact that he wil be coming from a Big 12 school....big time texas connections

I don't see him goin to a small school.......I would say that if NU offers 1.25 million per year for 4 years with a mutual option on the 5 and 6th year...he would take the job.....especially with a decent human being as A D

Yeah.... :woo good luck with that one! I have a feeling Cally will go before Pedey...besides, we all know Pedey is a great human being.... :sarcasm

Pedersen will be shown the door in Febuary or early March.......I can see him staying on only with a bowl game.......

The President will have to make a move after the recruits ink their letters unless we get a bowl game.

NU did fine before they had boosters and NU will do fine if Boosters decide to bail out and not donate. Boosters don't control the University, and don't have the final word of who gets fired and who doesn't. Harvey Pealman hired Steve Pederson and he isn't going to fire a guy simply because some fans want him gone.

The only time you will see any changes done in the coaching department is if NU fans consistantly start leaving early in the third quarter because of a blowout or because people have stopped buying tickets.

Pederson is giving Cally untill after the 2007 season, regardless if NU fans or boosters like it or not.

Hey how about Houston Nutt?

Errrrr, Dave Wandstett?

Both of those guys have done a heck of a job - wished we'd have bagged one of them the first time.

boosters, big ones, play a huge role in any program......they have to be satisfied or wooed at the very least to have their continued support.....especially when you are building a 56 million dollar expansion project......you can bet Pud will have some damage control and heavy convincing to do with these guys, especially if we lose out and don't get a bowl bid......

And if i told you there was a OWH article a couple of weeks ago the said Boosters only contributed so far 12 million out of the 50, what would your response be?

Looks like we would only have a 38 million dollar deal....thats a far cry from what we are getting...it's a bowl game or no game for Pedersen....If you think Pearlman can save him with the whole program in a shambles then you guys need to seek medical attention....This is Nebraska....not Missouri or Kansas...this is the Big Red.

Nobody is too big to take the fall, and Steve Pedersen is small time to begin with, hell he has been burning his candle at both ends for as long as he has been there.

You got to feed the bear or it's goin to eat you.....

that is 25%.....not a token donnation by any means.......and who has defined a what a major booster donates and his influence on the other folks who ponied up 38 million? word would get around when the big boys bow out, don't you think?

not trying to argue, but it is a concern and something that needs to be maintained?

I really think that your continued talk of monies given by friends of the program is in very bad taste.
