NFL 2025

Gotta admit this would be a great story.

Turns out Kyle Shanahan had already approached Rivers and given him the 49ers playbook when both Jimmy Garrapolo and Trey Lance were injured on their way to the NFC Championship game in 2023. Kyle says Rivers would have started for the Niners in the Super Bowl if the injured Brock Purdy had managed to beat Philly.

Still unbelievable that he got away from Nebraska and went to Kansas.

I think he only played 6 seasons due to injury, but he may have been the best RB in NFL history, and certainly the most exciting.

We were just talking about Emmett Johnson's field vision and jump cut, and that's one thing that set Sayers apart. I've heard it explained that Sayers running style made him a career-ending injury just waiting to happen.

Bo was outstanding yesterday, it was really great to see. I honestly think this has kind of been Payton's plan all along, to keep things conservative and build up to this as the playoffs get closer. He knows that he's got an excellent defense, and while the team has been doing just enough to get wins, it seems like he's been in control the whole time. Losing Dobbins was really a bummer, but Harvey (aside from the fumble to start the game) has been improving. It's also nice to see Courtland get more involved, dude is a catching machine.
