In spending most of their broadcast talking about LSU-Alabama this weekend, ESPN voted on the top 10 all time No. 1 vs. No. 2 regular season matchups.

Of course NU-OU '71 was considered the best ever.

Notre Dame, Miami, Florida and Florida State well represented throughout top 10.

Wish I had been alive for that, must have been a great game. For me 2006 Mich-OSU takes the cake because I loved that Michigan team. Yes I'm a Wisconsin fan, but I went from cursory respect to outright rooting for Hart, Henne and Manningham. Michigan was so much better under Carr, I barely recognize the team they've got now.

For all those haters on NU, we have a lot of recognized number one ie best team ever, best player ever etc........We were awesome and are hopefully on the way to dominance again.
