Taylor was very secure with the ball and ready to slide or step our of bou8nds when necessary. I know some of his throws are questionable but no pics were thrown.

Great game as a whole offensivly but this really stood out to me.

I was most impressed with his continued ability to cover both hands with the ball as soon as he realizes contact is coming. He's also absorbing hits now, or running out of bounds, rather than fighting the hit.

Agreed. A lot of people were complaining about him bracing for contact instead of trying to fight for extra yards. Um hello? He's the QB. We have a stable of RBs (with little to no drop-off after Rex) to take on contact and fight for yards. We only have one Taylor. He goes down and we're done for.

It was a nice change of pace thats for sure. I still think it took waaaaaay too long for him to learn to do these things.

I think most people realize that if you sit there and brace for contact you're probably going to get hurt more often than putting your shoulder down(you know, that place where you actually have padding)... That's probably the point they were trying to make.

It's nice many Husker fans are coming around on TMart. I still think those fans are waaaaaay too impatient though.

Have you ever heard of the acromioclavicular joint? You know, that joint in your shoulder that Sam Bradford and countless others have sprained (aka separated shoulder) while wearing pads. Taylor is arguably the most important player on this team at the moment. Do you really want him lowering his shoulder and risking injury? Just get your yards and get down.

I just want Taylor to look off a DB or hit his second/third progression on a pass play. I don't care if he slides, lowers a shoulder, ducks and covers. Just once I want a look off and this season will be a success. That is all.

But still give the golf clap for NU not putting the ball on the turf. :clap

The only questionable throw i saw Taylor make was the the force throw into the endzone that was almost picked off (hit the ground).

I liked the way he played, he seemed like a different player and we acting like a QB more than a running back. It was like night and day, in terms of his decison making when it comes to getting hit.
