North Dakota Play-by-Play

I forget who it was, but we ran this last season near the goal line and the WR absolutely lit his guy up. I love this wrinkle of running power by pulling the WRs across the formation.

Brewington had several kickout blocks last year.  But I don't remember pulling another WR behind him to lead up on a LB.

Simple but effective.  Might have gotten some help from the play-side DE slanting the wrong way.

I was tempted to call out Benhart but after watching a couple of times I'm not sure he was all that bad.  I think Thompson sets too deep (10 yards).

Thompson does a good job of buying time.  And Brown is getting dangerous.

This play was monumental from a momentum standpoint.

Also, this is why I like Palmer trying to high-point the ball.  It might have been the wrong play earlier but more often than not it will work out well.  And it was huge here.

There's a difference between patience and hesitancy and Grant is easily on the correct side of that line.

Interesting that they really didn't react to the Orbit motion.

This probably doesn't look like much but I think the little chop step in the backfield was key to buy an extra count for the seam to open up.

Whipple loves to put extra OLs on the field.  Which I generally like.  We just haven't gotten much production out of those plays yet.
