Northwestern activities?

Four-Star Recruit
Hey everyone, just pulled into the hotel here in Evanston. Are there any husker or alumni activities happening tonight?

Any bar in the area going to be open early for breakfast and bloody Mary's? We are looking but most open at 10:00.

Thanks Huskerfreakz.

Teach and a bunch of our friends went to Evanston a few years ago.  Basically, no one in the area will know there is a football game for that day.  The local bars don't open up early, so your best bet is to run into a tailgate party.  Northwestern is a small school full of bunch of nerds who aren't big football fans.

Kirkwood down int he city has a brunch and a shuttle bus w/ drinks that goes up to the game and then back.

I'm sure there will be a lot of Nebraska fans around Wrigleyville tonight as well.

Did they invite you
They always invite me to the annual road trip game, I go every few years.  I travel in from Denver, while most of the guys travel from Omaha for the road trips.  At Michigan this year, the discussion turned to them coming out for the CU game in Boulder.  That would be cool with me, as I can serve as the host with the most.  I am planning on taking my wife and kids to the game, too.

Too sweet!

Evanston is going to be lame, it is a nice sleepy rich area.  Nothing will be open before the game and no one will know/care that a game is going on.  The only reason it is a big Husker trip is the proximity and Chicago.

Fans are great...students are fun...you can basically sit where you want.

I will be making the drive early in the morning with my son and we hope to be there by 930 or 10. I am hoping for the first win of the year!
