No...not really. As soon as you terminate Riley, then the speculation is on who the hire will be. That becomes an unwelcome spotlight for Moos to work in (e.g. flight travel threads), and it tips our hand to the competition.

Again, I want Riley gone. But I would prefer to give Moos the ability to do his job unfettered instead of pulling the curtain back now.

Moos has gone on radio shows and talked about Scott Frost's time as a graduate assistant. You couldn't tip your hand anymore if you were playing with double sided cards. 

They need to give the fanbase assurance that this has a timeline. Everyone already knows Riley is gone. Saying it tomorrow may actually spark something in the players these last couple weeks.

It's a nice sentiment and if Riley had some ties to Nebraska I could see it.  Unfortunately this was just a bad marriage and it's best for all parties if everyone went their separate ways.  Pay the coaches what they're owed and let's turn the page.
