Now that the regular season is over with

How about surprising because they weren't as good as we thought? My vote goes to Zac Lee, I really believed that he was going to fill Joe's shoes nicely (not that he has done a terrible job but he obviously has struggled).

As far as most surprising due to being better than expected, my vote definitely be a toss-up between Gomes and Prince.

This is exactly what I was going to say.

What you said above is spot on though. IMO that would have to be the biggest surprise in my book.

Well the obvious choices have been stated but how about Alex Henery and his punting. Not much on distance (except recently) but his ability to drop em inside the 10 is crazy and really compliments our "defense wins games" style this season.

he is a special player and really helps our defense and our offenses field position game.

:yeah

Henery is a freak. The kicking game has been a big part of the defense's success this year, IMO

Great pick!

It's tough to chose between Rex, Roy, Crick, etc......just so many outstanding players........but Alex is unique at what he does........again......great pick!!

Ive been impressed with the defense as a whole.

During the off season I wouldn't have guessed that Dillard, Gomes, Asante, Prince, Crick, or any of those other fellows would have been that great.

I expected Henery to get that much better, so I wasnt really surprised.

I also didnt think Barry Turner would put off the effort he did.

To many to pick just one, but if I had to pick one it would be Cody Green. HAHAHA just kidding. I think the most pleasantly surprising players have been Prince/Gomes.

May or may not be a great pick but I'll go with it anyways. I'm gonna go with Matt O'Hanlon. A walk-on who makes good and showed even more resilency after the tough loss at Virginia Tech. He showed a lot of guts and came back stronger than ever.

Oh and my dark horse is Tyler Legate. seriously...
Yeah I love how Legate blocks and he has an old school mentality.

The guy I was impressed with that we haven't seen much of is Cameron Meredith. He has some speed on the end and I think he will be pretty special.
