NU is favored this weekend

According to Vegas odds, NU is a 6 point favorite at home. That's the largest point spread we have been favored hy all year long besides the Maine game

Not sure where you got the idea that i said i was close to the team. Having a couple of contacts doesn't mean you are close to the team.

Other then several key starters on both the defense and offense getting riped a new one by the coaching staff during film breakdown, nothing else is new. Film breakdown i heard was really ugly and not something you wanted to see. If anyone goes to the game this weekend and has a good view of the field, you will see several guys being replaced on and off depending on how well they do.

Rumour has it that the coaching staff has threatened to pull ANYONE out who isn't giving a 100% on each play.

That seems to be a better modus operandi than what we have been seeing. At least it seems like the coaching staff cares every once in a while. No one is playing exceptionally, thus NO ONE is safe.

Here's my problem with what you said: why in the hell is the coaching staff waiting until game 10 before they start yanking players for not playing 100%. I mean come on. The very first game of the season, the coaches should have been yanking players if they weren't giving it their all. It takes a 40 to 15 a$$ stomping by lowly KU before the coaches figure this out? If what you say is true, then these coaches are even more clueless than even I gave them credit for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For all those asking whether or not it's really up to the coaches to motivate the team, I ask you this: is it really up to the general to motivate his soldiers? Hell yes it is. It's the coaches responsibility to have the team focused, motivated, and prepared to play. Name one game in the last 5 where we were prepared, focused, and motivated from the opening kickoff. This isn't the NFL where motivation comes from extra $$$ in incentives if certain criteria are met. This is college ball where most thoughts of players stem from partying to the Husker Scarlets. It is not only the coaches job but also his responsibility to have the players up and ready to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably because they really haven't had that problem until this point.

Yea, big difference there. The general has to convince guys to go fight to the death. Yes, you might die. That's a far cry from playing football on Saturday's.
