Bill Callahan isn’t big into statistics.
But this statistic means something to the Nebraska football coach: After three games, the Cornhuskers are leading the nation in rushing defense, allowing just 41.3 yards per game.
That’s “impressive,” Callahan said.
“There’s a lot of pride on that side of the ball,” he said. “You can see (the pride) culminating in these first three games.”
Opponents are averaging 1.33 yards per carry against the Huskers, the lowest average in the country.
