Just thought I would get this jump started. Tom Shatel wrote in his column for the pregame that the "rivalry" with the Buffs is dead and would like to get back to having Oklahoma as our rival on Thanksgiving. :yeah I would love it if they were able to make it happen. I have been to OU 3 times for a post thanksgiving game and twice to CU. OU was 1000 times better.

I used to be for the continuation of the rivalry but lately I have thought more against it. The rivalry was pretty much dying off in the 90s when the Sooners were slapped with probation. The formation of the Big 12 was the final nail in the coffin. Sure, we had a couple of good games (one great in 2001) but other than that it has been a big game, but nothing like the late 80s. The Callahan era really hasn't helped with his hillbilly blast in his first year and there was really little hype in last year's game.

The Sooners have their main rivalry with Texas and they have accepted the fact that the NU-OU rivalry now only plays out every two years. Nebraskans should probably do the same.
