NU puts up the new coaches names

Missing the part where this is that big of a deal.
It's not a big deal, you're right. It is an example of the disconnect, or lack of coordination, or however you want to describe it, that we seem to be having at UNL lately. It's not a Bo issue, it's a University of Nebraska issue occurring between the Football staff, the AD's office and the Administration. I know UNL has budget issues and they don't have a ton of money to hire people, but for everyone involved it would be good to have one guy or one small group in charge of the flow of information from Stadium Drive, someone who has the authority to coordinate the release of information from Administration levels on down.

I feel bad for Bo, because it seems too often that information is being let out beyond his control, due to university policy or sheer bone-headedness of the Administration, and this is the kind of crap he doesn't need to deal with. He's a Coach, we should let him focus on that aspect of the game. Every jot and tittle of information doesn't need to come from Bo.

jot and tittle ????
From the dreaded Wikipedia:

The word "tittle" is rarely used. Its most prominent occurrence is in the introduction to the Antithesis of the Law in the Gospel of Matthew (5:18): "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled" (NKJV). The quotation uses them as an example of extremely minor details. The phrase "jot and tittle" indicates that every small detail has received attention.

Maybe this is a ploy for our entrance into the Big10. With no announcement the opposing teams in the Big10 will assume we still have the same staff thus giving us a competitive advantage because they will be studying old game film of coaches who are no longer here. I thinks its a great plan.

No, I just have a pretty large vocabulary. I usually censor myself for ease of reading, but once in a while I let a word slip through.

I'm the guy who knows all the words. I've won spelling bees, and when I was young and there was no Internet, I used to cruise through the dictionary for fun. And no, I did not get any in High School and yes, I was a tremendous nerd. But I'm better now.

That made me spit out my soda. :rollin
To totally steer this thread off topic, I found out later that this really cute girl (legitimately cute, not internet BS story cute) liked me in High School and was upset that I never asked her out. She explained to me all the clues and hints she'd dropped over the years, but I was too stupid to realize what she was on about. Biggest regret of my high school life in retrospect, and proof that I was a blithering idiot back then.

Sorry for that. Back on topic now. :D

I feel worse for Doc Saddler and how bad our compliance department sucks. Its probably cost him a year in development for his team. Maybe you could argue two.

That being said. . UNL sucks so bad with communication and actually providing customer service to its customers "the students." When I lived in Lincoln a few years after my undergrad and while working, I decided I wanted to work on my Masters in Business Administration. I went to admissions where I waited an hour to see someone who then told me that I'd need to talk to the chair of the department of Business about enrollment. I went to see that person, who was not in but would "get back to me." I waited 3 days and then left messages everyday for over a week to see about enrollment. Finally he got back to me and told me I'd need to contact admissions to start the process and come back to see him at a later time. I gave up and enrolled in another school to get my Masters.

True. Isn't there an issue with Ehlers on the baseball team now? C'mon people do your jobs!!!

Pelini comes out and announces hiring:

http://sports.ap.org...56b4923ba1cb901

Pelini told The Associated Press on Wednesday that he has hired Indiana assistant Corey Raymond to coach the secondary, Ohio assistant Ross Els to coach linebackers and Massachusetts prep school coach Rich Fisher to coach wide receivers.
Ron Brown now in charge of the RBs? Cool! It doesn't say anything about Garrison. Also who gets the TEs?
