I get it with the nil deals bc you want to make a profit for yourself but at the same time i still think kids will go to programs that invest money to having the best facilities as well. So where does the balance lie on how to go about it??

My guess is that the Houston facilities are just not good enough compared to the rest of the Big 12. When your coach donates $1M he clearly wants something to move in that direction.

Couldn't agree with you more. Bc now a days kids want the best and need the best to succeed and unfortunately Nebraska lacked in upgrading facilities and other things and tried recruiting by Name recognition. See how bad that put us behind.

No pictures, but I drive by in a few times a week as I'm running errands. Nothing crazy, but it seems to be going up fast. The building got tall in a hurry, it looks like the majority of the exterior walls are up. 

Next time I go by I'll take a picture or two.

Northeast corner of the stadium, where the old track stadium was.  It's basically on the east side of the stadium, with the campus recreation center on the other side.

Yep, they ripped out the track on the north east corner of the stadium that sat between Memorial and the practice fields.

It would be cool if they had some sort of air lift that would levitate you to the top. Some sort of interactive seating where sections 1 can play or compete with section 100.  Get the crowd more involved.

Well it was used by another program in the Athletic Department, so it wasn't exactly "wasted space". The concept with this new facility is that it's available to all student athletes, not just the football team. It is centrally located on campus for all student-athletes.
