Well, let's see... It's not like they got their butts kicked, it DID go 5 games remember? Gawd, I hope Pud doesn't read your post he'll fire Cook and bring in somebody new to run "West Coast Volleyball" and keep us from slipping into mediocrity!!! :rollin

Were the Huskers overrated or is West Coast volleyball just that much superior?
IMO the Huskers were somewhat overrated, but they're young. There's only one senior on the team. They may have underestimated USC based on their record. I also don't think the Big 12 is as good as the Pac 10. Just give these women a year or two and then watch out.

we weren't overrated. We didn't lose to some fluke, they did win it the last 2 years or something like that. Next year should be our year.

Yes, USC won the nat'l championship the last two years. If they do it this year, they'll be the first team to ever win it three times in a row. This match should have taken place in the final four; not a Kentucky regional. Still, I don't think that NU, who had only one senior on the team and whose best player is still a freshman should have been seeded #1 in the tournament. Not saying they weren't an excellent team. They just weren't the best one. SC played some amazing defense that the Huskers weren't expecting based on the Trojans' regular season play. Seriously, wait 'til next year. :box

Nu's head assistant vball coach and recruiting guru is taking off for a head coaching job else where.

Huskers got a big victory in B-Ball tonight against Tenn. 62-61. Hope they get things rolling through the Big 12 play. Ill be watching them at kemper arena.
