NU vs Iowa trophy game going to be announced

"I just received an invitation to the event. Not sure if this is a clue about the trophy, but the invitation includes a definition for the word hero: "A person of distinguished courage or ability, admired for their brave deeds and noble qualities."

Any guesses what it could be? I am guessing part of it will be Nile Kinnick and someone from Nebraska?

Something to honor our folks in military service? That would be out of left field.

Agreed. I'm not going to raise a stink, but I'd rather have this turn into a rivalry rather than just declare it a rivalry from day one. Rivalries are something you build.

 
How about the River Rivalry ........... First it intentionally mocks Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas ...... I like the idea. Iowa may not like it .... I guess we could with traveling pig but why not make some $$$ and call it the Hormel Trophy ... my first job was at a Hormel Pig Farm south of Lincoln.

 
Isn't the loser of this game required to claim Carter Lake each year? That's motivation enough for me.
