NU vs UT on 10/16. Will it be a day or night game?

I usually frequent this site for college football TV schedules. These are the early marquee match-ups on TV from other major conferences happening on 10/16.

California @ USC = FSN @ 2:30pm CST

Iowa @ Michigan = ABC/ESPN-ESPN2 @ 2:30pm CST

Ole Miss @ Alabama = CBS @ 2:30pm CST

Ohio St. @ Wisconsin = ESPN-ESPN2 @ 6:15pm CST

My guess is we'll be playing Texas at night on ABC @ 7:00 since the day schedule is loaded with other games that day.

Another good match-up happening that day is Mizzou @ Texas A&M.

I would love a night game. Something about Memorial Stadium underneath the lights. I will actually be there too.

I would assume a night game, but is ABC getting rid of the Saturday night football game. . .for NASCAR?!? Thats just wrong. I think that it would then be on ESPN, at night, if this is true.

I have heard from the start that it will not be a night game because of NASCAR, my guess and this is just a guess is that Mack Brown new that too and thats another reason that he decided not to play this game on Thursday night, knowing that it would be a day game on Saturday. Let's face it, night games rock. The stadium is so much louder due to the fact that people start partying around 10am! I know for the OU game last year we go there at 11am and started to get after it!

I think we can probably rule out an 11am or early start, so that probably leaves 2:30.

It will more likely than not be a night game on ESPN. I would be really surprised if it's not a night game being televised nationally.
I would think it would be on a Night game on ESPN, also. But the real question is whether ESPN/ABC would want to schedule one the biggest regular season games of the year versus a rare NASCAR saturday night race. If not then expect a 2:30 kickoff.
